From the humble lakelands of Ireland comes the mindful songwriting of Oscar Blue. Influenced at a formative age by the passion, integrity and spirit of Irish artists such as Luka Bloom and the modern, acoustic-pop sound of acts such as Vance Joy, Oscar Blue boasts songwriting ability far beyond his mere 20 years.

While Blue began writing music at the age of 13, he has only recently begun to share his songs with a worldwide audience. Since his debut release in August 2018 Oscar Blue has been streamed over 1.2 million times in over 75 countries, receiving hugely encouraging support from Spotify's editorial playlists.

Already selling out two headline Dublin shows in Whelan’s and the Sound House, Oscar Blue has a busy summer ahead. While a tour of the US is underway featuring appearances at Sofar Sounds up and down the east coast and a solo set at the renowned Scratcher Sessions in New York City, Blue still has a gig at the iconic Rockwood Music Hall to look forward to. On his return to Ireland he will headline the Indiependence Main Stage in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork in August.

Having honed his craft in intimate venues such as Dolan’s Limerick, Cyprus Avenue Cork, and The Grand Social Dublin, Oscar Blue’s live shows are an oasis you never knew you wanted to find, blending sound and silence in a perfect symphony. Rich in experience, he has already supported acts such as The Academic, Cathy Davey and Ryan Sheridan, testament to his work ethic as an artist.

With an easy listening and sweet sound in both his recorded tracks and live shows, Oscar Blue's fan base looks set to grow exponentially.
