Having wrote and recorded a collection of songs during lockdown, Custard Dream signed to 3Ms records 2021 and released their ‘Blue Wave’ EP on 3rd December 2021. The five track set came bolstered with their remarkable version of the Led Zep classic ‘When The Levee Breaks’.
While Custard Dream brew up a mix of blues, new wave and psychedelic, this is very much not an exercise in nostalgia. Their collection of songs have an edge honed by life: this is the attitude and leanings of blues reframed from the perspective of life as a 30-something year old coming of age and feeling a tension between an affection and resentment of growing up in England.
