Bright Falls is an alternative-country band from Thurles, Ireland.
Originally beginning as a solo project by singer/songwriter Eddie McCormack in 2014, Bright Falls has expanded with a rotating full band line-up in 2018.
Inspired by southern gothic imagery, Truman Capote, country, pop punk and alternative rock, Bright Falls creates a hybrid form of music which has been self-reffered to as 'Gospel Death Country', ranging from acoustic driven Americana style songs to full band rock and roll numbers, to more heartland rock inspired tunes.
Early 2018 seen Bright Falls support The Frank & Walters and Ryan Sheridan in the Source Arts Centre in Thurles, while in the latter half of 2018 Bright Falls took part in the First Music Contact Music Trail for the Feile Classical, alongside sets supporting Jester in Whelan's in Dublin in October 2018 and March 2019.
'Logging' the debut E.P from Bright Falls, produced by Martin Quinn in Jam Studios, will be released on the 26th of July, 2019 with upcoming gigs including De Baras in Clonakilty on July 27th, headlining Feile Beag in Thurles on the 3rd of August and the Tipp Classical playing the Jerry Fish curated Tipp Top stage on th 21st of September in what will be the biggest show for Bright Falls up to this point.
